Energy cane is the key word when it comes to fast growing, high fiber biomass for advanced biofuel or advanced biochemical production.

 

When comparing traditional sugar-cane with energy-cane productivity on the same hectare land, energy cane yields:

- minimum of three times as much biomass

- up to three times more sugar, and

- up to 12 times the amount of fiber

That makes energy almost unbeatable and definitely an important part of the feedstock mix that will be needed to lower CO2 levels in the future.
